This is a place where people of all walks, race and creed can hope to be understood. It is a forum for learning to live amidst joy and pain. It is a place to be authentic and cheer each other on.

Who am I? What do I know about hard times and an uncertain future?

I am the eldest daughter of a teenage addict. I was the white kid in the brown and black neighborhood. I was the perpetual new kid. The one constantly sent away. The outsider.

I was the runaway who became a teen bride. I am the one who survived years of neglect, abuse and trauma, only to find it waiting for me with different faces as an adult. I know pain.

We are all more than what we appear. Just like you, my story is still in process. Just like you I’m only human and in some areas I’m still healing and finding my way. I have faced what feels like more than my fair share of giants and lived to tell about it. Now, I want to help you do the same.
